The Stark Files Urban Legends is a series to complement the Halloween Thriller series.
The first book in the series would be, The 7th Barn.
For years, a simple tradition marked every happy milestone in the Morgan family. Each time his wife prepared to give birth, a farmer would build a small barn on his property and place a sign bearing the new child's name above its doors. One by one, seven barns rose across the field, each standing as a symbol of love, family, and hope.
But when the farmer's seventh child was born, everything changed.
On that terrible night, an unnatural storm swept across the countryside. Lightning split the sky, strange winds shook the earth, and an eerie darkness settled over the farm. When the farmer regained consciousness in the middle of his field, he stumbled back to the farmhouse only to discover a nightmare beyond comprehension.
His wife was gone.
His seven children were gone.
No signs of struggle. No clues. No explanation.
Despite an extensive investigation, law enforcement could never determine what happened. As years passed and answers remained elusive, the grief-stricken farmer slipped into madness and was eventually committed to the state's mental hospital. The mystery faded into legend, whispered about by locals who dared to speculate what really occurred on that storm-ravaged night.
Now, decades later, Mark Willingham, a self-taught paranormal investigator and cousin of one of the Stark brothers' friends, believes the truth can finally be uncovered. Convinced there is more to the legend than folklore, he recruits Bobby and Brandon Stark to help him investigate.
What begins as a search for answers soon leads them down a path of unsettling discoveries, forgotten secrets, and forces that may lie beyond human understanding. As the evidence mounts, the brothers begin to question whether the family's disappearance was a crime, a supernatural event, or something far more terrifying.
Because some mysteries refuse to stay buried.
And some legends were never meant to be solved.
